Za'atar or Satar or Zaatar for breads focaccias meats veggies

  • 2 Tbsp fresh thyme (only the leaves)
  • 2 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 tsp sumac powder
  • ½ Tbsp coarse salt
  1. Mix all the ingredients together.
  2. If you do not have the sumac, please try with the same quantity of lemon juice.
  3. To use it, mix with extra virgin olive oil to form a paste and spread. If you find the taste too strong just dilute with the oil a little more
